These plain back pads/cloths are secured to mounts using instant adhesive and used for polishing on the X-Prep®. Discs are secured to mounts using a high-performance adhesive like LOCTITE® 460™ or 454™, and peel off easily when worn

The polishing application using small discs at higher RPM range limits the choice to product with a construction that can withstand the harsh conditions/environment. These pads have been selected with this in mind.

 

X-Pad II and X-Pad are hard, porous pads used for coarse polishing with diamond.
Final POL and Red Final C are flocked cloths used for intermediate and final polishing with diamond.
Final A and ChemPol are chemotextile cloths used for final polishing with colloidal silica.

Abrasives

Alumina - Made with 99.9% pure aluminum oxide, these high-purity abrasives are available in powder, suspension and colloidal formulations.

Lubricant

X-Lube™ is a solvent-free lubricant that helps maintain a cooler cutting temperature, traps cutting debris and reduces tool wear. It is also used with diamond compound for polishing operations.
