HM Series - Vickers/Knoop

HM-210/220 Macro Vickers

These models perform multi-point and average hardness evaluations without the need for external data processors. The 5.7-inch color touchscreen display provides high visibility and allows the unit to operate easier. 

Feature motorized force selection from 1-50 kgf or .3 to 30 kgf.  

A dual-line filar eyepiece combined with a color touch-screen LCD to create accurate measurements with the touch of a button.

The motorized turret can accommodate up to 3 long working distance objective lenses for an even wider range of materials and a wide variety of anvils and x-y stages are also available.

Digital output streams measurement data into software or spreadsheets LED illumination provides better visibility of specimen without producing heat.  

The Type B/D models feature a high-resolution 3 mega-pixel camera that produces crisp images that are automatically measured in less than three seconds. The Mitutoyo AVPAK is the dedicated image analysis software which offers automated indentation reading with excellent automatic edge detection capability, thus eliminating reading variations and visual errors.  

Type B hardness testers have computer controls, providing more accurate and repeatable measurements Type D hardness testers have a motorized X-Y stage with up to 100 mm x 100 mm travel for large samples Motorized focusing platform on Type D models provide a complete walk away system Various software functions such as automatic light intensity, simple to use report generator and programming wizards make tedious and repetitive testing requirements more accurate than manual testing and eliminates common operator errors.

500 Rockwell Series

The closed loop test force control on the HR-530 Rockwell and Brinell Hardness Tester feature a unique electronic control design capable of Rockwell, Rockwell Superficial, Rockwell testing of plastics (A & B) and Light Force Brinell hardness testing. The HR- 530 is capable of testing the inside wall hardness of rings without cutting the ring into pieces. An easy-to-use brake-start system automatically begins testing when initial force is reached. 

  • The curved surface correction function enables curved surfaces, such as round bars and spheres, to be tested for hardness as easily as flat surfaces
  • Color touch screen control panel displays statistics and graphs; up to five display formats show needed information
  • Nose-type indenter enables measurement of a specimen's flat top surface as well as inside surface of cylindrical specimen
  • The HR-530 is available in 9.8" (250mm) or 15.S" (395mm) height capacity models
  • Complete with a combination diamond indenter, a 1/16" carbide ball indenter, one flat and one V anvil, 2 HRC, 1 HRBW, 1 HR30TW and 1 HR30N test block
  • Hardness testing of plastics according to ASTM D785 (Procedure A and B) and 1SO2039-2 are also possible

300/400 Rockwell Series

The mid-range HR-320MS is selectable for both Rockwell and Rockwell/ Superficial scales. The HR-320MS features a high contrast LCD digital display, conversions for all common scales, and a motor driven loading sequence.

The HR-430 Series is available in Rockwell-only or Rockwell/Superficial Twin Tester models. HR-430 models feature an automatic brake-and-start feature to prevent overloads during the minor load cycle and to initiate testing when the proper load is achieved. HR-430 testers also include the convenient dial-a-weight major load selection system. 

All HR Series hardness testers can perform Brinell hardness tests when equipped with available optional accessories: a Brinell indenter, weight set and measurement microscope.  

HR Series Rockwell hardness testing machines support Measurlink®, Mitutoyo proprietary statistical processing and process control software. Measurlink® performs measurement data analysis and provides real-time display of measurement results for SPC Software and other management routines. The program also provides archiving and can be linked to a higher-level network environment for enterprise-wide functionality.
