Powders

Allied alumina powders are made of 99.9% pure aluminum oxide to the highest quality specifications. They are used for final polishing of metallographic specimens. Mix with DI water to produce a liquid slurry. The 0.05 µm particle type/shape is gamma, while 0.3 and 1 µm are alpha.

Silicon carbide powders are for use in high precision lapping and polishing operations.  Supplied in a wide range of grit sizes, these high quality abrasive powders can be used where repeatability of material removal rate is required.
